Free Baggage Allowances

Baggage allowances depend on the size and type of aircraft you will be traveling on. We suggest you take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our baggage policies to help prepare and pack for your trip and avoid delays.

For travel on:

  • If your itinerary includes a same-day transfer from one type of aircraft to another with different allowances, the 30 kg allowance will apply.
  • Standardized excess baggage fee: $8.40 - $9.20/kg (taxes included), network wide. Excess baggage will be transported only if sufficient space is available and is limited to 40kg unless pre-arranged and/or approved in advance. To make such arrangements, you may call Air Inuit customer service.
  • For transfers from any other carrier to Air Inuit, Air Inuit allowances will apply.
The maximum weight limit per single piece of baggage is 32 kilos. Any single piece of baggage over 32 kilos will NOT be accepted as checked baggage and must be shipped as cargo.

If your itinerary includes connecting flights with other carriers, we suggest you familiarize yourself with their baggage allowances to avoid unpleasant surprises.
