Sporting Equipment

If you are planning to practice your favorite sport during your travels, here are a few guidelines to help you pack your equipment.
Because of varying shapes and sizes, sporting equipment must be checked in and will be subject to the same weight restrictions as your checked baggage included in the free baggage allowance.

  • Bicycles are transported at a flat fee $52.50 - $57.49 (taxes included) regardless of the routing. Bicycles are not included in the free baggage allowance, but considered as excess baggage, subject to space availability.
  • The handlebars must be loosened and aligned with the frame, the tires deflated and the pedals removed.

Hockey, skis, hunting and fishing equipment

Hockey, skis, hunting and fishing equipment are accepted as checked baggage, provided the equipment is properly packed to prevent damage and complies to all regulations.

Note: Sporting equipment is included in the free baggage allowance (except for bicycles).
  • If you have a large amount of equipment or oversized items, we can arrange to have them shipped separately through Air Inuit cargo.
